How it Works
In addition to having responsible production, recyclable packaging and sustainable shipping, each tree we plant helps to reduce nearly 680 pounds of harmful carbon emissions from the atmosphere, which is well over the CO₂ generated from standard e-commerce shipments.
The trees that we plant serve many benefits outside of reducing carbon footprints. They also help to alleviate poverty in the areas they are planted because we are hiring local villagers to plant and maintain them!
The Trees
In Madagascar, all the trees are mangroves, which are among the most carbon-absorbing trees. For each tree planted, poverty is alleviated in the poorest regions in which they are grown. We will grow your tree on EcoDrive's designated plot of land in Madagascar, and your tree will contribute to environmental restoration, in addition to reforesting habitats for indigenous wildlife. Trees are planted on a monthly basis within 30-45 days of purchase, and they are cultivated and protected.
